Hydraulic Presses are a very useful and important auxiliary to examine firm specimen for preparation of IR- and XRF analysis. They generate the needed pressure by evacuable die sets to produce pellets with high premeables.
The pressure is indicated in tons by a manometer scale.
If the scale shows 10 tons, a 13 mm die set will get a pressure of 7.630 kg/cm², but a 16 mm die set will get only a pressure of 5.060 kg/cm².
To offer all capabilities for making pellets and foils we have manual and hydraulic 15 and 25 tons presses for good values.
